I finally got my screen door (okay, security screen, whatever.)  I've only been waiting three years for this door! I bought a porch light to go with the door I wanted, but when we got down to the wire on the remodel, I had to sacrifice my door (temporarily) for the sake of other stuff.

We're on a long weekend in Mammoth and a bear just went wandering through (and around a couple times) the parking lot, checking out the cars and the dumpsters.  I now have four excited kids running screaming from window to window around the condo (okay, and maybe I went outside and tried to get a better picture of it than I did from the window.)

*whispering* I just paid off all my credit cards. Remodeling charges, vacation costs, everything. I'm not sure if I should jump for joy or watch for the sky to fall.

The building fire alarm just went off in the middle of lunch.  Sadly, we did not get to go home for the day.  It was a malfunctioning alarm.  On a positive not, however, my supervisor (and the rest of my unit) now have proof-positive that I was perfectly serious all the times I said in the event of an emergency I did not care where we were supposed ( Read more... )

I'm not sure what's worse, my sudden addiction to http://blindgossip.com or my two-year old pouncing on every box that comes to the door in the hope there'll be bubble wrap inside it.

So, the official winner of the "Gayle has to pick a white for the walls" contest is Behr "Off-white" (1873.) It looks more bone to me. But more importantly, it's not bright glaring white and it's not brown (sorry Randy and Chela, but I just can't handle the idea of "Parisian Taupe" on all the walls and ceilings.
